The existing Pinewood Playing Fields car park has 279 spaces.  However, a maximum of 32 spaces are used by the football club on typical match days . 

The forthcoming planning application is expected to propose:

• Reconfiguration and enhancement of the existing football pitches;
• Reconfiguration and reduction of the existing car park; and
• A new 66-bedroom care home.

The planning application will be submitted as a hybrid planning application. This means that different elements of the proposed development will be considered at different levels of detail.

Full planning permission will be sought for the reconfigured football pitches and car parking. This means that the detailed design and layout of these elements will be considered as part of the planning application.

Outline planning permission will be sought for the proposed care home. At this stage, approval will be sought for the principle of providing a care home on the site. The detailed design, layout and appearance of the care home would not be fixed through the outline application and would be considered separately through a future Reserved Matters application.
